Terms of service

Effective November 2, 2026

Cutroom is free, open-source software that you install and run yourself. These terms explain the rules for using it, including when you connect YouTube or TikTok.

The software and its license

Cutroom is published by Batuk under the MIT License. You may use, copy, modify and share it under that license. If these terms and the license differ on how you may use the code, the license applies.

Your content and your responsibility

YouTube and TikTok

When you connect an account, you use that platform under its own terms, and you agree to follow them:

The platforms decide whether a post is accepted, how it is shown and whether it stays up. Upload limits, quotas and review rules are theirs, and they can change.

Other services

Optional features use services you choose, such as AI providers, Postiz or model downloads. Their terms and prices apply, and any API keys or subscriptions are yours.

No warranty

Cutroom is provided "as is", without warranty of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose. It is pre-1.0 software and may contain bugs. Keep your own copies of footage you care about.

Limitation of liability

To the extent the law allows, the publisher and contributors are not liable for any claim, damages or other liability arising from your use of Cutroom, including lost footage, rejected or removed posts, account restrictions or charges from third-party services.

Changes

We may update these terms. The effective date above shows the latest version, and earlier versions remain in the project's public history on GitHub.
